On Track Nights: Night of the 10,000m PB's

The UK's cult-favorite track meet. Headliners include: elite runners, fire-eaters and knife jugglers. High energy meets high performance.

What's happening?

Often called the "world's most exhilarating track meet," the Night of the 10,000m PB's has garnered a cult-following in the UK (and beyond) due to its high-energy crowds, festival vibe and searingly fast times. Since 2014, this event has been part of the British Championships, served as the venue for the Rio Olympic Team GB Trials in 2016, and the IAAF World Championship GB Trials in 2017. Since 2018, it has integrated into the European 10,000m Cup with over 28 competing nations. This event is a BIG deal for pro and amateur runners. With thousands of attendees, this World Athletics Silver Event proves atmosphere is key to performance. Race director Ben Pochee elevates the event each year with innovations like the #Lane3BeerNCheer, circus acts, track-side tunnels, pedestrian bridges, in-field viewing areas, and live music and DJs. It's no surprise this meet is referred to the 'Glastonbury' of the athletics world. These races will be fast and fun. You can be there too, cheering them on with a drink in hand.

Who’s racing?

Last year, Jessica Warner-Judd and Andrew Butchart earned the UK 10,000m champion crown. Two-time Olympic medalist Paul Chelimo won the overall race with 20 seconds to spare in 27:12.73, and Ethiopia’s Mizan Alem Adane took the women's win in 29:59.03. Previous attendees include Paula Radcliffe, Lord Seb Coe and snooker-star Ronnie O'Sullivan. Stay tuned for this year's roster.
