To achieve excellence, Chelsea Sodaro knows it’s all in the mind as much as the body. The Californian triathlete’s pre-race preparations include daily meditations and gratitude lists, and she is inspired every day by her daughter Skye. “When I’m happy and fulfilled in life, I’m able to push that much harder on the race course,” she explains. Clearly it’s working: in 2022 Chelsea won the Kona Long-Distance Triathlon World Championship on her debut, becoming the first American winner in 26 years.
