In just three short years, running transformed the life of Athanas Kioko. In late 2018, to refresh his mind after long days studying actuarial science, he took up the sport as a hobby. By 2021, he was strong enough to finish third in the NCAA Cross Country Championships. “My progress always makes me realize I have much more in store,” he says. A keen photographer and videographer, running is now likely to keep Athanas in front of the cameras for the forseeable future.
