Refuge Team - Track

Jamal Abdelmaji Eisa Mohammed

"I run with purpose, not privilege."

Jamal Abdelmaji Eisa Mohammed’s story is one of discipline and purpose. As a long-distance runner for the Refugee Olympic Team, he embodies resilience. At 19, a friend introduced him to running, and he soon realized his past wasn’t a limitation – it was his motivation. Known as “Jimi” to friends, he ran barefoot on his long journey to safety – a symbol of the inner strength that propels him forward today. Jamal hopes to inspire young refugees to believe in themselves and never give up.
