Multifunction: Suitable for use on mountain peaks and in city streets.

Hiking: Suitable for full-day hiking trips, with or without a pack.

Trekking: Suitable for multi-day trekking trips, with a pack.

The type of terrain the shoe performs best on. Our trail running and hiking shoes fall into one of three categories: moderate terrain, all terrain or technical terrain.

Heel to toe drop is the difference in height between the heel and the forefoot. In a shoe with a drop of 7 mm, your heel will sit 7 mm higher than your forefoot. Shoes with a lower drop tend to place more load on the ankles and are generally better for midfoot and forefoot strikers. Shoes with a higher drop tend to place more load on the knees and hips and generally better for heel strikers.
