Sailor. Writer. Tamara Klink moves with every moment. She’s already crossed the Atlantic alone. A lifetime achievement for most, but for Tamara, it’s a passage that leads to the next chapter. This is her story.
For Tamara Klink, movement is far more than a workout or getting from A to B. It’s where she lives.
Or rather, on her boat, Sardinha 2, that she calls home for months at a time. It was aboard her original Sardinha that in 2020, Tamara made her first solo passage, crossing the North Sea – at just 23 years old.
Sailing and writing run deep within the Klink family and following the calling, next she published two books on her adventures: Mil Milhas ("A Thousand Miles") and Um mundo em poucas linhas ("A World in a Few Lines").
Always moving forward, Tamara then sailed her floating home to Paraty. The account of this expedition became her book titled Nós: O Atlântico em solitário ("Us: The Atlantic Solo").
Back and forth. Sailing and writing. Naturally, Tamara was already charting her next course. In 2023, she returned to the Sardinha and sailed from France to Greenland.
However this time, Tamara stopped. It wasn’t by choice. Nature intervened and winter closed in, locking her sailboat in Arctic ice. She remained trapped in the frozen Arctic Ocean for 8 months – the first woman on record to spend a winter there alone. The experience became her most recent best-selling book, Bom Dia, Inverno ("Good Morning, Winter").
Though when the ice finally let go in 2024, she wasn’t ready to leave the North. In 2025 Klink took on the Arctic route that links the Atlantic and Pacific, becoming the first person from Latin America, the youngest woman, and only the second woman to complete the Northwest Passage sailing solo.
And now, in 2026, Tamara Klink joins the On team.
It’s a connection built on the brand's mission to "Ignite the human spirit through movement". Inspired, Tamara marks the partnership with a poem:
It is impossible to know if I am ready for something I have never done
The preparation will be longer than the voyage itself
Fears multiply
The heart aches with longing before the goodbye

To strengthen even the smallest muscles
To rehearse every single gesture a million times

And to live, all I need is to sail
