Responsible manufacturing

We take full responsibility for how our gear is made – from design and sourcing to production. Our goal is to meet high standards for sustainability, performance, and traceability. We hold our partners to the same standards, working together to reduce our footprint and strengthen systems that protect the people making our products.

Blueprint for Responsible Manufacturing

Our Blueprint for Responsible Manufacturing, developed for our supply chain partners, covers everything from ethical labor practices, material sourcing, and production processes, to environmental impact. This document is a living guide that is continuously updated with changes to regulations, requirements, and industry standards.

Our supply chain partners

We also want our partners to demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and responsible manufacturing. So before taking on new supply chain partners and manufacturing partners, we carry out comprehensive due diligence.

Workplace Standard Monitoring Program

We use our Workplace Standards Monitoring Program to identify, address, and monitor any flags. It also helps us evaluate against our responsible manufacturing standards for social, environmental, and ethical business impact.

Living wage initiatives

We’re committed to ensuring fair and inclusive working conditions for everyone who works with On – including people in our supply chain. The right to a living wage is integral to our business values and we’re developing strategies with our supply chain partners for wage transparency and fair compensation initiatives.

Our preferred materials

With over 60% of our Scope 3 emissions coming from materials and finished goods manufacturing, we strive for preferred materials, cleaner chemistry, and increased traceability. We’re always looking for new paths to progress, continuously innovating our materials and technology to push the boundaries for better.
