Tsigie got a first taste of standing on an international podium at just 17, taking bronze at the World U20 Championships in 2018. She went on to compete in the 10,000m at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The talented Ethiopian runner expanded her medal collection with silver at the 2023 World Cross Country Championships. And, to show her versatility, Tsigie cruised to a top-five finish at the 2023 Half Marathon World Championships in Riga, Latvia.
