Marissa Papaconstantinou

"Ride the wave. No matter what I'm going through – positive or negative – I remind myself to stay present and enjoy the journey, always."

Marissa Papaconstantinou isn’t just fast, she’s a force. A three-time Paralympian, Canadian record breaker and Tokyo 2020 bronze medalist, Marissa blazes down the track in the T64 100m and 200m sprints. Born without her right foot, everything changed at 12 when she got her first running blade – and she’s been unstoppable ever since. With two more bronzes from the 2023 world championships, she’s not just racking up medals – she’s rewriting what’s possible. Off the track, this Sports Media grad is a bold para-sport advocate, pushing for visibility, equity and opportunity.
