Inspired by his friends and the strong running culture in his home country of Eritrea, Oqbe Kibrom Ruesom decided to switch from cycling to running. What began as a new challenge quickly evolved into a focused pursuit of his dreams. A highly disciplined and patient athlete, Oqbe has established himself on the world stage with multiple top finishes in major marathons and an impressive sub-2:06 marathon time. Beyond the track, he remains inspired by cycling and has a deep admiration for Roger Federer, embodying the same spirit of disciplined mastery.
